My view. Ahhh

My view. Ahhh

Lately, as I read the pages of ‘Emergency: This Book Will Save Your Life’ by Neil Strauss (the same fellow who wrote ‘The Game’), I’ve been thinking a lot about what’s been going on in the U.S. and what could happen in the not-so-distant future.  It’s all a little worrisome at times.  There are arguably more people in the world who’d rather see our demise than not.  However, when I reached the middle of Strauss’ book, a lovely chapter reminded me of one thing: this United States has more OPPORTUNITY than any other place in the world.  We may not truly be the most free or the most liberated, but we have the sky as our limit.
I wake up every day (well, the days I choose for myself) and go play around making things move on screen, sometimes with a bunch of buds, and sometimes in front of a computer (and in a comfy chair with lunch and snacks provided).  This morning I returned from my Bootcamp workout (a luxury, to be certain) to my pretty awesome loft and I realized that as much as I worry about the U.S.A., I also love her for the opportunity; the opportunity to WORK hard, the opportunity to PLAY hard, the opportunity to set my own destiny.
Now lets just hope that opportunity doesn’t go away.  Mr. Obama, we’re counting on you to keep it real.
